Does fall in CRS to 437 points, indicate positive Sign for Regular FSW Draw of Express Entry?

The drop in the CRS score requirement in the last express entry draw for the CEC category has given positive indication and encouragement to the candidates as well as experts.

In the last few draws of the EE system, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) focused on Canadian Experience Class and Provincial Nominee Program candidates.

However, as the containment measures taken earlier by the government are easing out, we may expect the regular FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) draw soon.

Will CRS score requirement drop for the FSW category as well?

The cut off reduced to the record low, i.e. 437 points for the CEC (Canadian Experience Class) category in the recent draw of express entry on 11th June 2020.

With such a significant fall in the CRS demand, the experts as well as the candidates are expecting this trend to reflect in the regular FSW category draw as well.

The regular FSW draw is the one, wherein those candidates are invited who don't have any Provincial nomination or Canadian experience.

The Canadian government is easing out the measures taken for Covid-19 one by one and hence, the applicants are confident about the opening of the regular EE draws soon.

Moreover, new registrations with relatively high scores seem relatively low in the recent past, which likely to enhance the opportunities for the candidates with a low CRS point score. Hence, these signs indicate that we may see the fall in the cut off, in the regular FSW category draw as well.

PNP nomination is always a great option

Obtaining a nomination from a Provincial Nominee Program always stands a good option for the candidate with a low score. The provinces continue to invite and nominate the candidates for Canadian permanent residency despite the disruption caused by the recent pandemic.

Hence, if your CRS Score is low, you can apply in the relevant Provincial Nominee Program and enhance your score by 600 points based on the provincial nomination.
