Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190

This is State nominated visa, hence to apply for a visa you need to have nomination from an Australian state or territory government agency. You also get points for the state nomination obtained.

Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491

This visa is allocated for 5 years by Department of Home Affairs, Australia. However, it also provide the Permanent Residence (PR) pathway after three years. To apply for Subclass 491 visa, you needs to have the nomination received from a state or territory government agency, or an eligible relative must sponsor you for this particular visa.

Step-wise process to apply for Australia Permanent Residence (PR)

To apply for Australia PR, you can follow the below steps:

• Step 1 - Check your occupation in the relevant Skilled Occupation List (SOL)
• Step 2 - Apply for skill assessment through the designated authority and also obtain IELTS test for English proficiency
• Step 3 - Submit Expression of Interest (EOI) and wait for ITA (Invitation to Apply) from Department of Home Affairs, Australia.
• Step 4 - Within 60 days of receipt of your ITA (Invitation to Apply), you have to apply for your visa online with all the required documents.

Note: If you are applying for a State nominated visa (i.e. Subclass 190 visa), you also need to obtain the nomination from that particular state.
