Western Australia invites 600 Immigration candidates in the latest SNMP invitation round

In the latest invitation round held for its State Nominated migration program on August 16, 2024, Western Australia (WA) has issued 600 ITAs (Invitations to Apply).

WA State nomination invitations will be issued on a monthly basis during 2024-2025. The number of invitations may fluctuate depending on the volume of applications. If you are selected, WA Migration Services will contact you via email with the application link

SNMP invitation round

In the latest invitation round, the SNMP has issued total 600 ITAs for state nomination, i.e. 300 invitations each for Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190) and Skilled Regional (Provisional) Visa (Subclass 491).

Having an eligible EOI doesn't automatically mean you will get a state nomination invitation. To improve your chances of being invited in the future, please ensure that:

  • your nominated occupation is currently available on the Eligible occupations list; and
  • your EOI meets all requirements.

2024-25 Eligibility requirements

If you would like to be considered for an invitation for State nomination, your occupation will need to be eligible under the following streams.

  • General stream — A skilled migration pathway for a range of occupations and industry categories. Eligible occupations are listed on the WA Skilled migration occupation list (WASMOL) Schedule 1 or 2.
  • Graduate stream — A skilled migration pathway for eligible international students who are completing vocational education and training (VET) or higher education qualifications in WA. Eligible occupations are listed on the Graduate occupation list (GOL).

These lists identify occupations that WA values and considers eligible for skilled migration through State nomination. Applicants with a nominated occupation on the WASMOL or GOL may qualify for WA State nomination through these visa subclasses:

  • Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) or
  • Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491)

How to apply for 2024-25 WA State nomination

Please note that to be eligible for an invitation in the WA State Nominated Migration Program, you must meet both:

  • the Department of Home Affairs (Home Affairs) criteria for the nominated visa and
  • the WA criteria for State nomination

Do check if your occupation is included on the WASMOL Schedule 1 or 2, or the Graduate occupation list before starting your application.
