Victoria is now selecting digital games engineers for nomination

Australian state Victoria is now also selecting the Digital Games Engineers for Victorian Skilled Nomination. The state has added this particular skill to Cyber Security skills in the Digital Target Sector. The Digital games engineers need to have knowledge of coding, art direction, AI or physics programming.

The Victorian Government nominate the selected investor, business and skilled migrants with the skill sets and business experience, required to help Victoria's industries be internationally competitive.

Victoria State nomination Program

Victorian visa nomination is an opportunity to enhance your capability to get an Australian visa. It is a requirement for some visa applications and acknowledgement of highly skilled and employable professionals with skills and experience required in the state of Victoria. Victoria nomination is free, i.e. there is no charge for receiving nomination from Victoria.
As part of skilled migration, state of Victoria primarily nominate the candidates for two main visa categories, i.e.

• Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190
• Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491

The Digital Games Engineers will be nominated for both these visa categories, as Digital sector remains open to all digital skills.

Eligible Criteria for Victorian visa nomination

To be eligible to apply for Victorian visa nomination, you must:

• meet the Department of Home Affairs external link basic requirements
• meet Victorian Government’s minimum eligibility requirements for visa nomination or sponsorship for a business visa or skilled visa
• meet all eligibility requirements related to the visa you are seeking nomination for
• for skilled visas, be selected by Victoria after making or updating an EOI via SkillSelect and submitting a Registration of Interest for Victorian State Visa Nomination on the Live in Melbourne website

Target sectors

To become eligible to apply for Victoria skilled visa nomination, you need to be presently working in one of state’s target sectors using your STEMM skills.

If you are looking for subclass 190 nomination and working in the digital sector, you must note that Victoria is presently selecting candidates working with cyber security skills or digital game engineers, with knowledge of coding, art direction, AI or physics programming. 

However, even if you have expertise in the digital skills in a different target sector (e.g. software developer working in health), you can still get the invitation.
