As per the latest update, the Canadian government will accept the temporary resident visa applications submitted online because of the Covid-19 pandemic.

This rule will apply to those applicants, who are applying for the work permit temporary resident visas (TRV) or study permit from outside Canada between 1st July and 30th September.

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada will offer to provide special accommodations to the people, who are not able to complete their application process online because of the disability.

IRCC will not accept paper-based applications during the active period of this policy (except for people with disabilities) and will return the application and processing fees to the candidates.

As of now, the work permit holders are allowed to travel to Canada provided they are traveling to the maple leaf country, for a non-optional reason. There are exemption, counting if a person is moving to Canada to be with an immediate family member. The holders of Study permit will not be able to land in Canada if they did not have a valid permit as of March 18.
