Targeted Draws of BC PNP- British Columbia invites 132 Immigration Candidates

British Columbia held three separate targeted draws of British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) on April 11, 2023 to invite total 132 candidates to apply for the provincial nomination for Canadian PR (Permanent Resident) Visa. The BC PNP held this draw targeting below three occupations:

•    Tech
•    Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202)
•    Healthcare

BC PNP draw on 11 April

  • For the targeted draw for Tech Occupations, BC issued most, i.e. 99 Invitations to Apply (ITAs).
  • 25 candidates with experience in the occupation of Childcare: Early childhood educators and assistants (NOC 42202) received the ITA
  • Applicants with experience in occupation of Healthcare received 8 invitations this time around.

Skills Immigration draws in 2023

Targeted ITAs to the Skills Immigration streams may be based on one or more of the below factors:

  • Education – level and field of education and where it was completed
  • Eligible professional designations in B.C.
  • Language skills
  • Occupation
  • Duration and skill level of work experience
  • Wage and/or skill level of job offer
  • Intent to live, work and settle in a specific region
  • Strategic priorities – factors that address specific labour market needs in B.C. or support government pilot projects and initiatives

The Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) are going to be a crucial pathway to Canadian permanent residency in the year 2023. This year, most PNPs including the BC PNP are issuing invitations to apply for the provincial nomination to significant number of candidates.
