South Australia to open Engineering occupations for offshore applicants from 2nd November

Immigration South Australia has announced to open 24 Engineering occupations for the candidates currently living overseas from November 2, 2021. State of SA, every year nominate the skilled and talented people from overseas for the key state nominated visas, i.e. Subclass 190 and 491 visa. 

To be eligible to apply for SA state nomination, an applicant require meeting the requirements from the Department of Home Affairs (DHA), Australia, state-specific occupation requirements and have skills and experience in an occupation that is available on SA Skilled Occupation List.

The Offshore candidates meeting the minimum requirements can submit a Registration of Interest (RoI) from the second of November month. Find below the list of 24 engineering occupation to be added from 2nd November:

Minimum requirements for state nomination

The minimum requirements for state nomination for these occupations comprise:

• You must have at least eight years work experience in the nominated or closely related occupation
• You must demonstrate a Superior English level, unless you hold an eligible passport from a country where the primary language is English (the United Kingdom, the United States of America, New Zealand, Ireland and Canada)
• You must score at least 85 points for the Skilled Work Regional visa (subclass 491) in the Department of Home Affairs' points test.

Full requirements for each occupation will be available on SA occupation list from 2nd November.
