Quebec releases details of the most recent draw of Arrima

The MIFI (Ministry of Immigration, Francization, and Integration) has shared the details of most recent draw of Arrima's Regular Skilled Worker Program. This is in fact the second draw only of Regular Skilled Worker Program, as the first one held in the month of January this year. Hence this Quebec draw is open again after six months.

Quebec RSWP draw

This time around, the province of Quebec, Canada, has held the RSWP draw on June 18, 2020 to invite 7 applicants to apply for the CSQ (Quebec Selection Certificates). However, these invited candidates were falling under one of the below categories, i.e.

  • Either exempt from the cap, which was applicable when they first submitted application to the RSWP or
  • They were living in province of Quebec on a study or work permit on 16th June 2019, when about 16k RSWP applications cancelled with the introduction of Bill 9.

Earlier the government announced that in August 2019 that round of invitations for these applicants were to occur until January 16, 2020. Despite the fact, this draw of seven persons still included applicants that were affected by Bill 9.

Applicants required having filed an EOI with MIFI before December 17, 2019 to get invitation. Also, applicants needed be either a temporary resident of Quebec when they applied, or possess a work or study permit in Quebec at the time.

To apply for Regular Skilled Worker Program, applicant need to submit an EOI (Expression of Interest) through Arrima. Subsequently, MIFI will review the submitted profiles and issue invites to those who fulfil key parameters, based on the labour market requirements of Quebec.

What is Arrima?

The Arrima is an immigration application management system for Regular Skilled Worker Program of Quebec, Canada. It is based on an EOI (Expression of Interest) and you can apply in the same following a stepwise process. Applicant submit their EOI including information, i.e. age, education, work experience, etc. and MIFI review, assess, select and invite the suitable candidates to apply for CSQ.
