On June 19, 2025, Prince Edward Island continued its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws, extending invitations to individuals whose occupations and sectors are deemed economically impactful to the province.

Invitations were extended to individuals working in occupations and priority sectors that are demonstrably vital to Prince Edward Island's economic well-being.

With this latest draw, the total number of Invitations to Apply (ITAs) issued by Prince Edward Island this year has reached 621. The invitations specifically targeted individuals working in priority sectors and occupations identified for their significant economic contribution to the province.

PEI PNP: Navigating Immigration Pathways and Prioritizing Skilled Workers

Prince Edward Island's provincial immigration pathways are strategically shaped by several factors, including federal immigration allocations, the volume of applications received, and the evolving needs of the provincial labour market.

Currently, the PEI Office of Immigration is prioritizing skilled workers in sectors experiencing high demand and labour shortages. This includes critical industries such as healthcare, trades, manufacturing, and other key sectors. Consequently, individuals working in the sales and service sector may not receive an invitation to apply at this time.

It is important to note that an Expression of Interest (EOI) is not an immigration application itself. Rather, it serves as an indication of your interest in being considered for the PEI PNP. The PEI Office of Immigration reserves the right to limit intake or exclude certain EOIs from their regular draws.
