Amendments proposed for OINP

The Ministry of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development has proposed few amendments to Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

The suggested amendments would align the Ontario PNP with the new NOC 2021 system that is already in use by Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and Statistics Canada (StatCan) as their official classification system.

The IRCC will make the new NOC 2021 applicable in November this year. The application of new NOC 2021 will influence which occupations are eligible for each OINP stream.
