Nova Scotia PNP draw opened to Invite Express Entry candidates with Experience in NOC 4214 Occupation

Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) has issued invites to express entry candidates with work experience in occupation, i.e. early childhood educators and assistants (NOC-4214). The NSNP belongs to Nova Scotia- the popular Atlantic province of Canada. . The NSNP has 8 different streams (designed as per labour market demands of NS) through which it nominate the applicants for Canada PR.

The province of Nova Scotia has invited total 312 candidates in the NSNP draw held on June 3, 2019.These invites were issued under the popular Labour Market Priorities Stream of Nova Scotia Nominee Program. Let's find out more about the latest draw of NSNP.

NSNP draw on 3rd June 2019

In the 3rd June draw, the province of Nova Scotia has issued invitations to Labour market priorities(Express entry aligned) stream candidates, who were already there in the express entry pool. This time around, Nova Scotia has invited the express entry candidates with experience as early childhood educators and assistants (NOC-4214).

Nova Scotia invites the candidates to apply for provincial nomination and subsequently, nominate the selected ones (which suits best the labour market needs of the province) for Canadian permanent residency.

What is Express Entry aligned streams of NSNP?

Three out of total 8 streams of Nova Scotia Nominee Program are linked with the Federal express entry system. These streams are known as Express Entry aligned streams of the NSNP. The applicants, need to have his/her profile registered in express Entry system under any of the three categories of Express entry to become eligible under EE stream of Nova Scotia PNP. The three Express entry categories are:
  • Federal Skilled Worker Class,
  • Federal Skilled Trades Class and
  • Canadian Experience Class.
The applicants who get provincial nomination through EE stream, become eligible to get 600 additional CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points in express entry and consequently, receive Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency from Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). As a primary requirement, candidate applying in Express Entry aligned stream of NSNP must have profile registered in Federal Express Entry system of Canada.

Other eligibility parameters to get Invitation through NSNP- EE Stream

  • Evidence that an applicant has obtained post-secondary education in early childhood education for children aged 0 to 8 years;
  • Evidence that an applicant has completed a program of 2 or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institution
  • Letters of reference from employers to show proof of at least 5 years of work experience in NOC 4214.
The candidates who got selected in the 3rd June draw had created their profile on or after 8th August, 2018.
