The National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI) has announced that it has included the one of the key Indian languages, i.e. Telugu for Credentialed Community Language (CCL) Testing. It already have many languages included for CCL, i.e. Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, etc.
The NAATI is a certifying authority and accreditation body for translators and interpreters in Australia. The Commonwealth, State and Territory governments mutually own NAATI.
Telugu Included for CCL
It is a good news for many Telugu speaking applicants, who forcibly had to choose any other language as Telugu was not in the list of languages for Credentialed Community Language (CCL) testing earlier. However, now it has been included.
The applicants can submit CCL applications from July 22, 2020 for testing due in late August 2020. The test spots will be opened on 30th July 2020.
You can get crucial 5 Australia PR Points for CCL test result
As per Australia immigration point system for General Skilled Migration Program (GSM) Visas, you can earn 5 points for your Credentialed Community Language (CCL) test result.
The addition of extra points is a crucial one, as applicants had to obtain enough PR points out of 100. These points are calculated based on age, education, work experience, language skills, etc. factors of your profile.
NAATI is now conducting online testing for CCL Candidates
NAATI is conducting the online tests for CCL Credentialed Community Language (CCL) since April 2020, in view of the global pandemic situation so that the applicants can follow the Social distancing norm.
A candidate have to score minimum 63 out of 90 marks (at least 29 marks separately in each of two dialogues) in the NAATI CCL test to be able to obtain the five immigration points for Australia permanent residence visa.
