For the year 2025, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will strategically focus its federal economic class draws on candidates with established Canadian work experience through the Canadian Experience Class.

Furthermore, to achieve Francophone immigration goals and address critical shortages in key sectors, IRCC will implement category-based invitation rounds targeting candidates with:

• Strong French language proficiency
• Work experience in the following in-demand fields:
  • Health care and social services: Including professions such as family physicians, nurse practitioners, dentists, pharmacists, psychologists, and chiropractors.
  • Trades: Including occupations such as carpenters, plumbers, and contractors.
  • Education: Including professions such as teachers, child care educators, and instructors of persons with disabilities.
