IRCC opens Express Entry draw for Federal Skilled Trades category

The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has opened rare FST (Federal Skilled Trades) category draw on August 6, 2020. The FST draws are rare and it is evident from the fact that it is only the seventh FST draw in five years history of Express Entry system. In this latest EE Draw, the IRCC dropped the CRS score requirement drastically to 415 points for the FST candidates.

In the 6th August Federal Skilled Trades category draw, the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) invited 250 candidates with a reduced CRS score requirement of just 415 points.

With this current Express Entry System draw, now Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has invited total 61,850 candidates in 26 express entry draws opened this year till 6th August.

Moreover, in last two days only, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 4,150 invitations to apply for Canada PR visa.

The IRCC has been consistent with the EE Draws or invitation rounds despite the Covid-19 disruption this year. It has also resumed its all program draws, which is a good sign especially for the candidates registered under regular Federal Skilled Worker category (without nomination).
