Express Entry to issue nearly 30,000 more Invitations this year to meet Annual target

The year 2020 has reached the mid of 3rd quarter and all eyes are on Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to see how many more invitations it will issue this year. Last few month of the year have been dominated by the presence of Covid-19 pandemic and it kept the all program draws of Express Entry System on hold for few weeks.

 

However, now, as the IRCC has resumed its regular draws, the candidates especially under Federal Skilled Worker (Non-provincial nominee) category are eagerly waiting for their invitations.

 

Express Entry Target Vs Achieved data in 2020

For this year, Express Entry annual invitation target is 91,800 invitations. Out of this number the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has issued 61,850 invitations. This means, still 29,950 invitations yet to be issued this year to meet the annual target.

Last, all program EE draw was held on 5th August 2020, so if we may expect nearly nine more Express Entry System draws this year by 31st December 2020 (i.e. end of the year). This means we may see nearly 3,327 invitation per draw out of the left allocations this year.

Having said the above, these figures may vary if IRCC decides to open few more CEC or FST category draws during the year.

Hence, if you have not received the invitations this year until date; you have every reason to stay positive about your chances in the months to come, as significant number of invitations are still left this year. The IRCC has also resumed its regular express Entry draws and hence, the regular FSW category candidates can expect the ITA (Invitation to Apply) in next few weeks.
