Nova Scotia PNP-Express Entry Stream May open Next Week to Accept 250 applications- Apply first to secure your place

visas default image The Express Entry Stream of popular Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) is likely to open next week to accept 250 fresh applications from the overseas skilled workers. The NSNP is the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) of the key Canadian province, Nova Scotia.

Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry Stream of NSNP

The Express Entry Stream of Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) is quite popular among the overseas skilled workers. It provides an opportunity to skilled workers with one year of skilled work experience in the targeted occupations of Nova Scotia, to get Permanent Residency in Nova Scotia, Canada. Hence, the applicants interested in applying in NSNP-express entry stream must have one year skilled work experience in any of the 16 targeted occupations listed in Nova Scotia Occupation List.

Need to have Express Entry profile to apply in NSNP-express entry stream As this stream is linked with Federal express entry stream, candidates applying in this stream needs to be registered in the federal Express Entry System. The applicants who get selected in NSNP-Express entry stream will get additional 600 CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points in the federal express entry system. The additional 600 points make a candidate eligible to receive ITA (invitation to apply) for permanent residency from IRCC (Immigration Refugees, and Citizenship Canada) considering the current CRS score requirement from IRCC, i.e. 415 CRS points.

Apply First to Secure Your Place- Only 250 Applications will be Accepted

In the current intake of NSNP- express entry stream only 250 applications will be accepted. Hence, there is every chance that intake will close immediately after opening. So, if you want to secure your place in the program, you must prepare your documents and immigration file fast and apply as early as possible as soon as the program opens.

Eligibility Requirements of NSNP- Express Entry Stream

In the current intake of Nova Scotia Demand- Express Entry stream, the applications will only be accepted for Category B, which require Skilled Work experience from the applicants and not the job offer. The applicants on this stream must
  • Candidates require having a profile registered in federal Express Entry system
  • Need to have minimum 1 year of skilled work experience in any of the target occupations of the province of Nova Scotia
  • Need to foreign education credentials equivalent to Canada (duly assessed and authenticated by relevant assessing authority)
  • Meet the language ability criteria in English or French, i.e. CLB ( Canadian Language Benchmark) 7 or above
  • A candidate require securing minimum 67 points or more on the points assessment grid of the stream
  • Need to demonstrate enough financial resources to settle in the province of Nova Scotia successfully.
