Canada's New International Graduate stream- Reaches Application Intake Limit

Lately, the intake cap for English-speaking essential workers in non-healthcare-related positions has reached its limit of 30,000. Therefore, the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will no longer accept applications from essential workers who are not working in healthcare.

The IRCC met the quota on July 16, 2021, i.e., within three months after the program was launched. It is among the six new innovative pathway to Canada's permanent residence, which were designed for more than 90,000 essential workers and international graduates actively contributing to the Canadian economy.

Let's have a look at the new streams launched on April 14, 2021.

1. Workers in Canada – Stream A for health care workers- 20,000 application quota
2. Workers in Canada – Stream B for essential non-health care workers- 30,000 applications quota – Full
3. International graduates- 40,000 applications quota – Full
4. Workers in Canada –For French-speaking health care workers Stream A- no intake cap
5. Workers in Canada –For French-speaking essential non-health care workers Stream B- no intake cap
6. French-speaking international graduates- no intake cap

As per the IRCC, all the streams mentioned above will remain open until 5th November 2021, or until they reach their intake limit.
