Canada has launched a new immigration application tracker for spousal and dependent sponsorship applicants

The government of Canada has launched an online portal for spousal and child sponsorship program applicants, so that they can track their immigration application online. This new portal will allow the applicants of spousal, common-law, and dependent child sponsorship immigration to view their application status online.

This is as per the announcement made by Canadian immigration Minister, Sean Fraser in the recent media release.

Immigration application tracker for Spousal/Depended immigration

This new application tracker is now available on the IRCC website. Presently, this tracker is only for individuals, applying for spousal, common-law, and dependent child sponsorship. Both applicants as well as representatives can access the same. Here are key points to note about this tracker:

  • Applicant need to enter all the information requested to create an account and the same should match the information on the application.
  • It may take some time before IRCC enter your information in the system. Once it enters the information on your application, you will be able to create an account.

Sponsor your family for Canadian immigration

Immigration Minister Sean Fraser as part of modernizing the Canadian immigration system announced the tracker recently.
Speaking about this launch in the recent Media release, Sean Fraser said,

“This is a big deal for family reunification. We will launching a permanent residency case tracker in February of this year, for spousal common law independent client, allowing them to easily access their own application information online.”

He further added, “This is going to address one of the major frustrations I have heard when people who are trying to get through an overburden system at IRCC and calling to their MPs offices to get information. They will be able to get those updates themselves, by logging in the system that is created to give them updates about the family reunification line of business.
