The latest round reflects Canada's continued efforts to welcome skilled professionals who have been nominated by a Canadian province or territory to address regional labour market needs.

What Happened in This Draw?

In this invitation round, candidates who had received a provincial nomination through one of Canada's Provincial Nominee Programs were invited to apply for permanent residence.

The minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score required was 744. This score is much higher than regular Express Entry draws because candidates with a provincial nomination receive an additional 600 CRS points, giving them a significant advantage in the Express Entry pool.

Where multiple candidates had the same CRS score of 744, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) applied a tie-breaking rule. Only candidates who had submitted their Express Entry profiles before May 26, 2026, at 18:11:36 UTC were invited.

Why Are PNP Draw CRS Scores Higher?

Express Entry candidates who receive a provincial nomination automatically gain an extra 600 CRS points. As a result, Provincial Nominee Program draws typically have much higher CRS cut-offs than Canadian Experience Class (CEC), Federal Skilled Worker (FSW), or category-based draws.

For many skilled workers, obtaining a provincial nomination remains one of the fastest and most reliable pathways to Canadian permanent residence.
