British Columbia PNP Extends Invitations to Skilled Workers and Entrepreneurs in Latest Draw

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) held a significant invitation round this week, issuing 485 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) for provincial nomination to both skilled workers and entrepreneurs.

The October 2 draw marked the first major intake for the Skills Immigration category since May, indicating a renewed focus on filling key labor market needs through targeted criteria. Invitations were also extended through the Entrepreneur Immigration stream.

To date in 2025, the BC PNP has issued 568 invitations through its Skills Immigration category and no more than 86 invitations through its Entrepreneur Immigration category.

BC PNP Skills Immigration Draw

Following a hiatus since May 8, 2025, British Columbia’s latest Skills Immigration draw invited 474 skilled workers based on two distinct selection criteria, aiming to attract highly-skilled and high-wage earners.

The two eligibility criteria for receiving an ITA in this draw were:

  1. Criteria 1: Candidates who held a minimum annual wage of $175,000 or an hourly wage of $90/hour, with a job offer classified under NOC TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 (highest-skilled occupation levels).
  2. Criteria 2: Candidates who achieved a minimum score of 140 points on the BC PNP’s candidate scoring system.

Future Skills Immigration draws will continue to be determined by various factors, including the candidate's education, language proficiency, occupation, work experience, wage/skill level of the job offer, and a demonstrated intent to settle in a specific BC region.

Entrepreneur Immigration Draw

The province also conducted its seventh Entrepreneur Immigration draw via the Base Stream, extending invitations to individuals committed to establishing or growing a business in British Columbia.
