Invitations for entrepreneurs to apply under the EI Regional Pilot occur roughly on a monthly basis, provided they are referred by a participating community. Targeted invitations to apply for the EI Base stream may consider one or more of the following factors:

• The registration score of the eligible candidate.
• The proposed business location within a specific region.
• The population size of the community where the business is intended to be established.
• Whether the business endeavour is a start-up or involves the purchase of an existing business.
• Alignment of the business proposal with priority sectors identified by authorities.
