Australian state Victoria has opened its Skilled Migration Program for the applicants living in Victoria and overseas. This program offers skilled migrants with a pathway to permanent residency in Victoria, Australia. The eligible applicants can start submitting their Registration of Interest. Find out more.
The Skilled Migration Program of Victoria provides two visa pathways.
The eligible candidates first require submitting a Registration of Interest (ROI) and then the program will select them on a competitive merit to apply for visa nomination. Before you submit a ROI, you must make certain that you fulfil all eligibility requirements for relevant visa, i.e. Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) or Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 491). The ROIs will be assessed until May 2023.
Applicants of 2021-22
If you were not selected to apply in the program year 2021-2022, you can now submit a new Registration of Interest for the 2022-23 program.
Find out key changes in this program year in the Victoria skilled migration:
Apart from applicants in Victoria, the state will also select the applicants living outside Australia for the subclass 190 visa in all eligible occupations.
For the subclass 491 visa, apart from the applicants living in Victoria, applicants living offshore can apply. However, as of now Victoria is currently giving preference to health occupations for subclass 491 visa nominations.
All occupations on the relevant DHA occupation list are now eligible, and candidates are no longer needed to use STEMM skills and working in a target industry to apply.
