All program draws of Express Entry may open on monthly basis this year

Canadian government has finally resumed its all program draws and this is immense respite for the candidates registered under regular Federal Skilled Worker category of Express Entry System. The regular FSW candidates waited very long for the ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canada PR visa, i.e. from 18th March until 8th July, as IRCC was holding the program specific draws only during this period.

However, the 8th July draw of Express Entry ended the trend of program specific draws, as the all program draw finally occurred on this day after the gap of several weeks (i.e. since March 2020).

What will be the Express Entry (All Program) draw trend in second half of 2020?

How often the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will open the all program draws or regular FSW category draws in second half of the year, is a huge point of discussion these days.

The experts reckon that Canadian government may plan to open the all program draws (including the regular FSW draws) on a monthly basis from now on. Earlier the IRCC used to open two all program draws in a month; however, the recent global pandemic may change this trend at least for this year.

If you observe the above trend, being followed by the express entry system for the all program draws, you may get an idea what it is up to. The IRCC is mixing up the express entry all program as well as the program specific draws.

As per this trend, after resuming the all program draws, Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) may have decided to strike a balance between program specific and regular FSW draws and hence, it may hold monthly all program draws for the candidates.

The IRCC imposed some temporary travel restrictions in March this year, however, now it has gradually started lifting the temporary measures taken in view of Covid-19 in March month.

This easing up of Canada immigration process by the government is reflecting in EE Draws as well. The Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the previous Express entry all program draw on 8th July 2020 and now after one month, i.e. on 5th August 2020, it has opened another all program express entry draw.

We may frequently see this trend in the second half of 2020, as IRCC is looking for the right immigration balance, post Covid-19 pandemic.
