Alberta to nominate 9,750 candidates under AAIP in 2023- Apply now

Canadian province Alberta has received the annual nomination allocation from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for the year 2023. For this year, the IRCC has allocated 9,750 nomination certificates for issuance under Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) for both Express Entry and non-Express Entry pathways (i.e. subject to change throughout the year). 2023 allocations by AAIP stream or pathway

Alberta every year receives the annual nomination allocation from the federal government, i.e. Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Accordingly, it nominate the candidates for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) Visa to the government. For 2023, the IRCC has allocated 4,875 allocations each to Express Entry and Non Express Entry streams of Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).

Until now, the Alberta, Canada has issued 1,711 nomination certificates under all AAIP immigration streams.

Alberta PNP- Express Entry Stream

Alberta- Express Entry stream is one of the easiest pathway to get the Canadian PR visa through provincial nomination. It invites the candidates with relatively low CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score compare to federal Express Entry System and other Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). The CRS score requirement in the most recent Alberta- Express Entry draw held on 9 March 2023 was just 301 points.

The AAIP hold periodic reviews of applicants in the federal Express Entry pool and chose the individuals based on the information presented in their profile. Selected candidates are sent an invitation to submit a complete application to the AAIP.

AAIP- Express Entry stream draws- 2023 (until 9 March)

The selection process for the AAI- Express Entry Stream in 2023 will abide by to the following guidelines:

• 25% of nominations will be kept for applicants in in-demand occupations who have close family ties (parent, child, brother or sister) in this province.
• 50% of nominations will be kept for applicants with a primary occupation in the health care, construction, agriculture, hospitality, and tourism sectors, with priority given to applicants who have an Alberta employment offer.
• 25% of nominations will be kept for Accelerated Tech Pathway candidates.
