Alberta issues New AAIP Invitations to 133 Immigration Candidates in Targeted Draws

The province of Alberta has concluded two new Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draws, extending invitations to approximately 133 immigration candidates on June 20 and June 25, 2025. These targeted draws, conducted under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), aim to address specific labour market needs across various key sectors.

With these latest draws, Alberta has now conducted a total of eight draws in June 2025, inviting nearly 300 candidates to apply for provincial nomination. The recent invitations focused on candidates in the following streams:

• Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors (Construction): This draw on June 25, 2025, invited 15 candidates with a minimum score of 67. The focus on construction highlights Alberta's commitment to strengthening its infrastructure and addressing labour demands in this vital sector.
• Alberta Opportunity Stream – Agriculture: On June 20, 2025, 118 invitations were issued to candidates under this stream, with a minimum score of 52. This signifies Alberta's ongoing efforts to support and expand its robust agricultural industry by attracting skilled workers.

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program continues to strategically identify and invite individuals who can contribute to the province's economic growth and fill critical labour shortages. As of early July 2025, Alberta has utilized approximately 55% of its annual nomination allocation, with thousands of provincial nomination opportunities still available for eligible candidates under the AAIP. The province expects to continue conducting draws to meet its immigration targets and support its workforce needs throughout the year.
