ACT to nominate 1,656 more Candidates for Australian Skilled visa in 2021-22

The ACT (Australian Capital Territory)- one of the most active state nomination programs has still 1,656 nomination places left in this program year, i.e. 2021-22. Today, thousands of people wish to move to Australian Capital Territory, however, the ACT allowed to nominate only a limited number of candidates every year. Hence, nomination program offers on nomination place per person.

ACT Nomination program

The Department of Home Affairs allows the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) to nominate candidates for two categories of skilled migration visas in the ACT, i.e.

• Skilled Work Regional (provisional) subclass 491 visa
• Skilled Nominated (permanent) subclass 190 visa

To apply for ACT nomination, you must make certain the following:

• Select the right visa for your situation
• Fulfil all of Home Affairs' eligibility criteria for that visa

Before you begin the nomination process, you require submitting a valid Expression of Interest (EOI) through SkillSelect- an online application process managed by the DHA.

ACT Nomination status 2021-2022

The Department of Home Affairs (DHA), Australia allocated total 2,000 nomination places to ACT for program year 2021-22. Until September 1, 2021, ACT has approved total 344 nomination applications, while 75 application had to face the rejection. Let’s take a look.

Allocation of ACT Nomination Places for 2021-22

• Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa: 1400 places
• Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa: 600 places

• ACT 491 nomination: 236 approvals / 55 refusals
• ACT 190 nomination: 108  approvals / 20 refusals

Remaining Allocation 2021-2022

• ACT 491 nomination: 1164 places
• ACT 190 nomination: 492 places
