New Canberra matrix Invitation round- ACT issued 50 percent ITAs to Overseas Applicants

On 18 February 2022, Canberra, Australia held the latest ACT (Australian Capital Territory) invitation round. In this round, Canberra issued 116 Invitations to Apply (ITA) for ACT nomination for Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190 and Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa Subclass 491. The ACT has issued fifty percent invitations to overseas applicants this time around. Find out more details about this latest round.

Here are the details of the latest ACT invitation round:

• Small Business Owners- This time around, 2 candidates received invitation for Subclass 190 visa with a minimum matrix score of 85 points. One candidate received ITA for Subclass 491 visa with a minimum matrix score of 75 points.
• 457 / 482 visa holders- The visa holders under this category received just 3 ITAs for Subclass 190 visa.
• Critical Skill Occupations – Canberra invited total 52 candidates (48+4) under this category.

• Overseas Applicants (Critical Skill Occupations) - the ACT (Australian Capital Territory) invited most candidates (i.e. 58) with experience in Critical Skills Occupations. Under this category, 5 candidates received ITA for Subclass 190 visa, while 53 ITAs issued for Subclass 491 visa. 

2021-2022 Allocation of ACT Nomination Places:

·       Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa: 1400 places

·       Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa: 600 places
