Canberra Invites Overseas Applicants in the latest ACT invitation Round held on 17 January 2022

In the latest Canberra matrix invitation round held on January 17, 2022, ACT (Australian Capital Territory) issued 243 Invitations to Apply (ITA) for Subclass 190 and Subclass 491 visa. This is the second ACT invitation round of the year, wherein Canberra has also invited the overseas applicants to apply for the visa. Find out more details about this latest round.

ACT Invitation round on 17 January

Here are the details of the latest ACT invitation round:

  • Small Business Owners- Small business owners received no invitation this time around.
  • 457 / 482 visa holders- These visa holders received just 1 invitation to apply for Subclass 190 visa.
  • Critical Skill Occupations- Canberra as usual issued most number of ITAs, i.e. 136 invitations to candidates with experience in Critical Skills Occupations.

  • Overseas Applicants- In this Invitation Round Canberra has also invited 106 overseas applicants to apply for Subclass 190 (25 invitations) and Subclass 491 visa (81 invitations). These invitations have been sent to the candidates with experience in the Critical Skills Occupations.

2021-2022 Allocation of ACT Nomination Places

  • Skilled Work Regional (subclass 491) visa: 1400 places
  • Skilled Nominated (subclass 190) visa: 600 places

ACT nomination

The ACT (Australian Capital Territory) invite, assess and nominate candidates for two types of skilled migration visas in the ACT:

  • Skilled Work Regional Visa (subclass 491) (provisional)
  • Skilled Nominated Visa (subclass 190)

Now, with this round, the ACT has also started inviting the overseas applicants with critical occupations.
