Saskatchewan Immigration PNP under Express Entry Program

International Skilled Worker – Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category Reopened

December 2, 2015 – The International Skilled Worker – Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category is now reopened to accept an additional 500 applications.

The recently introduced Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category has been launched for the skilled workers who are intended to live and work in Saskatchewan. This program allows Saskatchewan to nominate the applicants for permanent Residence to the federal Government.

What is Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category

Eligibility Check

Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category is the program through which, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) nominates the people who are in the Express Entry Pool of the CIC (Citizenship & Immigration Canada).

However, the authorities closely review that all nominated candidates have got the required skilled work experience, education, language efficiency, and other such critical factors to get established in communities and labor market of Saskatchewan and contribute significantly to the economy of this province.

The Applications by the candidates to the Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category are now being accepted by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

Eligibility Conditions for the Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category

You are eligible to apply under Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category, in case, you live outside Canada or you have a genuine proof of legal status in Canada. However, you also require fulfilling the below criteria too:

  • You are already in Express Entry pool of CIC (Citizenship & Immigration Canada) with the valid Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code. Any false or inaccurate information given in your Express Entry profile may lead to cancellation of your SINP Nomination and 5 years ban by CIC for Canada Immigration.
  • You need to provide a language test result score cleared through a designated testing agency matching your language efficiency level declared in Express Entry Profile.
  • You have a valid Post-secondary Diploma, Degree, Certificate etc. of at least one year, comparable to Canadian Education System.
  • You would be required to score minimum 60 points out of 100 in the SINP point assessment grid.
  • You need to have a minimum level of experience in your field of education or training, i.e. At least (You may refer to the province website for further details regarding the required work experience):
  • One year experience in the skilled profession (non-trade) in past 10 years OR
  • 2 Years of experience in past five years in the skilled trade.
  • 12 months of skilled work experience in the past three years (trades and non-trades) in Canada.

In case, your work experience belongs to skilled trade, you require having a certificate of qualification (known as letter of invitation) in the same from the Saskatchewan Apprenticeship & Trade Certification Commission.

  • You need to have proof of settlement funds and the settlement plan (You may refer to the website of province for further details).

A Few Key Points Regarding the Selection Criteria

  • The criteria of the whole program may get changed without the prior notice and the application shall also be assessed as per the criteria given on the website, when the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) receives your application completed in all sense.
  • It is to be noted by the applicants that no application is guaranteed to be accepted or nominated since,
  • The nomination limit set by the federal government and also the intake threshold.

Stepwise Processing of Application

  1. First of all, submit the online profile on CIC’s Express Entry System. Once you are selected in the pool, you shall receive an Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code.
  2. Then you would require reading and understanding the Application Guide of Saskatchewan Express Entry Sub-Category for the key instructions, once you complete your SINP application.
  3. Prepare all the essential supporting documents. Refer the Application guide for further details regarding the same.
  4. Fill up all the required federal forms and any other relevant federal that is applied.
  5. Analyze and organize the completed forms and the supporting documents in order to make sure that you have a complete application from all aspects.

  • The ones who are not accepted in the Express entry poolEligibility Check

  • The one who failed to submit the supporting documents as asked by SINP
  • The one who fails to prove his intent to live and work in Saskatchewan.
  • The one who misrepresents himself/herself in the application
