Well, the documentation required for NSNP will depend on the NSNP stream you are applying. Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry (Category B) is the best option to obtain the nomination for Canadian PR if you are a skilled worker. Therefore, here are the primary documents required to apply in Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP)

Category B of Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream (Closed Permanently)

Find below the list of documents required to apply in Nova Scotia Demand EE- Category B:

  • A verified foreign diploma, the certificate along with its ECA (Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from a relevant assisting authority
  • Proof of proficiency in English or French language skills with minimum CLB 7 score
  • To show work experience, letters of reference from all employers for the past six years needed as pert the prescribed format
  • Valid passport/travel documents
  • Marriage Certificate (if applicable)
  • Birth certificates for dependent children (if applicable)
  • Official banking statements from the financial institution for the past three months indicating the account(s) balance and transactional history
  • Statements for investment portfolios, fixed deposits and the terms and conditions for withdrawing these funds before maturity.
  • Any other relevant documentation included in the Document checklist.

Nova Scotia- Labour Market Priorities Stream

To be eligible for the Nova Scotia Demand: Express Entry stream, the demands to face up with the following three minimum requirements.

  • Foreign diploma, certificate or credential and its educational credential equivalency assessment by a pronounced Canadian academic certificate.
  • You will require one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time) paid work experience (in Canada or international) in the last ten years.
  • The minimum language proficiency approach at present CLB 7 in all four language areas abilities (reading, writing, listening and speaking) in either English or French displayed by language test results from an established agency IELTS (General Training Test only); CELPIP (General test only); or TEF.

Nova Scotia Processing Time

The processing time of selected applications can be three months or even more depending on the stream, visa category, etc. you have chosen. Within six months of receipt of the provincial nomination, an applicant needs to submit an application for Canadian PR to IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada).

NSOI will confirm nomination within Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada's Express Entry system. You will need to accept the nomination in the Express Entry system within 30 days. Once you do it, you will get the nomination certificate via e-mail.

Note: The processing time varies based on the validity and accuracy of individual applications and documents. Some applications may take longer than estimated processing time if NSNP is waiting for additional documents or a procedural fairness letter reply.
