What are the expectations from 23rd Express Entry Draw after Highest Ever Invitations last time around

Posted - 24, Oct 2016

The last express entry draw launched on October 19, 2016, broke all the past records of Express Entry System, and invited highest number of candidates (1804) ever for Canadian PR Visa.

It was an incredible and historical express entry draw ever. This draw becomes more significant when you know that it was the 2nd express entry draw in just 8 days, as previous draw was announced almost a week back on October 12, 2016.

Let’s try to analyze the last draw results and find out the expectations from 23rd draw of express entry.

Why 22nd Draw of Express Entry was Exceptional?

The 22nd draw was exceptional in many ways. First of all, as already mentioned it has invited record 1804 candidates in a single EE draw. The other key thing was it launched just within 8 days of earlier 21st EE draw (though 21st draw was launched after a long delay). But the big time question here is why it was so exceptional in terms of high invitations.

The key reason of huge number of invites vide 22nd draw of express entry was the qualifying marks or CRS score requirement in the draw. The CRS score requirement went below 482 points first time in last 5 months. Hence, the hundreds of candidates with CRS Score between 475- 481, waiting for their turn for a long time, finally qualified for ITA (invitation to apply) for PR visa. As a result, 22nd Express Entry draw got an incredible feat.

What are the expectations from 23rd Express Entry Draw?

Well, as already discussed, the expectations from the 23rd draw of express entry are very high and there is every reason for the same. We are heading towards the end of this year, and this is the time when IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship) is looking to achieve its annual immigration target.

Hence, in the coming EE draws the qualifying marks are expected to go further down and consequently, more and more candidates are likely to get ITA from IRCC.

What you must do as Canada immigration aspirant?

If you are a registered candidate in express entry with CRS Score around 460-475, you must keep your fingers crossed as you may get a positive news soon. However, if you have qualifying marks below this, you may still not lose the hope and look out for other Canadian immigration programs, i.e. OINP, SINP, QSWP, etc.

Moreover, if you are willing to move to Canada, but have not created your profile on express entry, it’s high time to do the same, as you stand a very good chance of obtaining Canadian PR invitation at this time.
