visas default image Waiting for 17th draw of Express Entry? Well, you must be having several questions in mind, i.e. what will be qualifying marks, number of invites, will the result be positive for you or not, etc.

As an applicant, you get more concerned about express entry draw results, when your CRS score is not very high. Lets analyze the draw proceedings this year and find out more about the expectations from forthcoming EE draw.

CRS score requirement has been higher side most of the time in 2016

In last few draws the CRS (comprehensive ranking system) score requirement from IRCC (Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada) has been consistently on the higher side, i.e. close to 480 points or more. Hence, the candidates with CRS point score around 450 are waiting eagerly for the qualifying marks or CRS score requirement to come down.

The CRS score requirement in the last draw of express entry was 488 points. It has now been consistently over 480 points for last seven EE draws. Hence, the frustration and eagerness of the applicants can be understood.

Falling trend observed in the number of invites

In the beginning of this year, the number of candidates being invited was somewhere around 1500. It consistently remained around this mark till the end of February, 2016. However, from March, 2016 onwards a falling trend noticed in the number of invites as it went down to 1000 invites. Now, from last seven draws, the number of invitations being issued by the IRCC is consistently hovering around 750 mark. The number invitations are inversely proportional to CRS score requirement decided by IRCC. Hence, if the qualifying marks increase, the number of invites decreases accordingly, and vice versa.

What are the expectations from next draw of express entry?

The 17th draw of express entry is expected to be not much different from the previous draws in terms of qualifying marks and number of invitations. It seems to be a balancing act by IRCC with regard to allowing immigrants in the country. If there is huge number of applications being accepted from any of the immigration program in Canada at a particular point, the express entry invites the lesser number of candidates to balance the number of immigrants at a time in the country.

At now, another major immigration program, i.e. QSWP is opening from August 16, 2016 to accept 5000 applications for Canadian PR. Moreover, the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is also accepting applications for its subcategories (Refer to News Section on Visas Avenue website to remain updated about the latest proceedings). Hence, the next express entry draw results are expected to remain more or less the same as earlier.

How to ensure your Canadian PR as a Canada Immigration aspirant?

Well, in order to obtain the Canadian PR, you need to go all out and make all encompassing efforts. Apply in other key Canadian immigration programs as well along with express entry. For instance, the QSWP is a really good option to try for PR visa.

Its open for new registrations via its Mon projet Quebec online system and will start accepting 5000 new applications w.e.f. August 16, 2016.
