South Australia State Nomination update for Skilled & Business Migration South Australia, the key Australian state has received the complete state nomination allocation from the Department of Home Affairs, Australia. The Immigration SA has announced the same confirming that it will continue to focus on driving economic development and job creation for the state via the Migration Program, and supporting businesses to obtain the skills they require throughout SA's economic recovery.

The SA has confirmed that it is continuing to invite and evaluate candidates via the current Expression of Interest (EOI) and ITA (Invitation to Apply) process until further information with details on any changes to program requirements. Meanwhile, the Skilled & Business Migration office will remain close for the festive season.

State Nomination for Subclass 190 and 491 visa

South Australia's allocation of interim 491 and 190 visa nominations is focused to support state's economic recovery and the public health response.

If an applicant fulfil the state-nomination requirements given below, he/she is invited to submit an EOI through the online point-based SkillSelect System of Department of Home Affairs, Australia. If South Australia is satisfied with your EOI, you will be invited to submit an online application for state-nomination.

Minimum nomination requirements

  1. Candidate need to fulfil DHA's minimum requirements for age, English levels and Points
  2. Candidate needs to nominate an occupation eligible for a 190 or 491 nomination on the Skilled Migration Occupation List and have a valid and positive Skills Assessment for that occupation
  3. Candidate need to be presently working in state of South Australia for minimum last 3 months in his/her nominated or closely related occupation, for minimum 20 hours per week or 40 hours per fortnight. The work experience needs to be undertaken, post the completion of qualification and paid at the suitable rate for the skill level.

The below candidates do not have to meet the work experience requirement listed above:

International graduates of SA's education institutions who have completed a PhD or Masters by Research.
