SINP- Express Entry Subcategory is Open to accept 600 new Applications

The International Skilled Worker-Express Entry Sub-category of popular Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) is open again to accept 600 fresh applications from the applicants. As the title of this SINP sub-category suggests, it is associated with the federal express entry system of Canada. This popular SINP subcategory of Saskatchewan province has come with the expanded high demand occupation list (i.e. 43 occupations included) this time around.

The candidates registered in the express entry pool and having skills and experience matching any of the 43 occupations listed in the in demand occupation list can apply in the ISW- Express Entry Subcategory of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).

The applicants, who get selected for provincial nomination under express entry subcategory of SINP, will get 600 additional CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points on express entry system. The additional 600 CRS point will make such candidates eligible to receive ITA (Invitation to Apply) for Canada PR visa.

The New List of In Demand Occupations in Saskatchewan

The province has released a new in demand occupation list with expanded occupations, i.e. 43 occupations in total. Out of total occupations, 20 occupations dont need any professional licensure. The rest of the 23 occupations need some kind of professional licensure. Earlier the OID list of Saskatchewan had 17 occupations only. Hence, the candidates in the express entry pool, who were eligible to apply in SINP-Express entry stream earlier, can now apply for the same.

What the key Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible to apply for SINP-ISWL Express Entry Sub-category, an applicant:
  • Need to have a evidence of of legal status, if presently residing in Canada;
  • Require having an Express Entry Profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code;
  • Must score at least 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid
  • Must provide language test results from an authorized testing agency in accordance with the language level declared in theExpress Entry profile;
  • Need to have completed minimum 1 year of post-secondary education or training equivalent to the Canadian education system, and must have resulted in a degree, diploma, or certificate;
  • Need to have minimum level of work experience related to theirfield of education or training in a highly skilled occupation (NOC 0, A, or B), which is in-demand in Saskatchewan
  • Need to have minimum one of the following in the field of education or training occupation:
  • 1 year work experience in the past 10 years in a skilled profession (non-trades);
  • 2 years work experience in a skilled trade in the past five years; or
  • 12 months work experience in Canada in the past three years (trades and non-trades).
  • Need to acquire evidence of eligibility for Saskatchewan licensure if theirprofessionis regulated in Saskatchewan and requires compulsory certification or licensing; and
  • Must have a evidence of sufficient settlement funds along with a settlement plan
