Saskatchewan- Express Entry Subcategory Opened to Invite 400 New Applications- Closed within Few Hours

Saskatchewan- a key province of Canada opened International Skilled Worker- Express Entry Subcategory of its SINP(Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program) on 13th June 2018 to accept 400 new applications. However, the EE subcategory closed within few hours of opening as it quickly reached the maximum intake limit. This is the 2nd time this year, express entry subcategory opened to accept new applications.

SINP- Express Entry Subcategory opened

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) -ISW- Express Entry subcategory opened 2nd time this year. Last time, it opened in the month of January and closed quickly within few hours. It was no different this time around as well, as this key SINP stream reached the maximum application intake limit, i.e. 400 applications, within couple of hours.

Get additional 600 CRS points through SINP- Express entry

The candidates, who apply and get selected in EE-subcategory of SINP, receive provincial nomination from the province of Saskatchewan. As a result, the applicant becomes eligible to get 600 additional CRS points in federal Express Entry System. The additional 600 CRS points make sure that the applicant receive ITA (Invitation to Apply)for Canada PR from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) in the subsequent draw of federal express entry system.

Eligibility Requirements

You are eligible to apply in express entry subcategory of SINP if you live outside Canada or legally residing in Canada, but not a refugee claimant. Also, if you,

  • Are registered in Express Entry Pool with an Express Entry profile Number and Job Seeker Validation Code.
  • Have scored minimum of 60 points out of 100 on the SINP point assessment grid.
  • Have submitted valid language proficiency level testfrom a recognized institution.
  • Have finished your post-secondary education, training or apprenticeship which is equivalent to the Canadian education system of minimum 1 year period. It must have got you a diploma, certificate or degree.
  • Have an educational credential assessment (ECA) from a designated organization for the degrees or diplomas acquired outside Canada, as per list of recognized organizations of IRCC.
  • Have minimum one of the following in your field of education or training occupation:
    • 1 year work experience in the past ten years in a skilled profession (non-trades);
    • 2 years work experience in a skilled trade in the past 5 years or
    • 12 months work experience in Canada in the past 3 years (trades and non-trades).
  • Have work experience in a high skilled occupation in the NOCskill level "A", "B" or "0" as per SINP In-Demand Occupation List.
  • Present evidence of Professional Status or Licensure (for regulated occupations or those with professional certification standards in Canada and/or Saskatchewan) if required for your occupation. (In case the evidence is needed, your application will be held for processing till the time such proof is given
  • Have proof of settlement funds as well as a settlement plan.
