The government of Quebec has revealed the new Areas of Training List for the overseas workers submitting application for the Quebec Selection certificate. This list is a key element of the Candidate’s evaluation trough the popular Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP). It also works as the high demand occupation list to assess the employability of skilled workers applying for CSQ in terms of their obtained qualifications.
New High Demand Occupation List
Quebec is very particular about the selecting the candidates based on their employability in the industries and organizations of the province. This is the reason that it also reviews the applicants based on their area of training factors.
The new selection framework is likely to prefer the applicants with knowledge of French. However, as earlier intakes of QSWP, the candidates without the French language ability are also expected to be selected in good numbers, particularly, the applicants with skills and experience in the key occupations, i.e. engineering, financial services, computer science, nursing, etc.
