PEIPNP Draw held on January 17, 2019
Latest draw of Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program held on 17th January which issued a total of 91 invitations under various streams of PEIPNP. The PNP issued 61 invites under Express entry and Labour impact category. The Express entry stream of the PEI is aligned with the Federal Express Entry System of Canada, which is a popular economic point based immigration program of Canada launched by Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in January 2015.The rest of the 30 invites were sent to candidates under Work Permit business stream.
Express Entry stream of PEIPNP
The applicants registered in Federal Express Entry system of Canada can submit a separate EOI (Expression of Interest) profile in PEIPNP mentioning all key details of the profile. The Prince Edward Island assess the submitted EOI profiles and allocate them points based on the key profile factors, i.e. age, education, work experience, and language ability, etc.
The EOI is not an application for nomination, rather it's a desire or request to apply for the provincial nomination in the Prince Edward Island. Although, PEIPNP don't necessarily demand the job offer from PEI, however, the applicants with connection to the province are given the preference for sure. The top scoring EOI profiles get the Invitation to Apply for provincial nomination from the Prince Edward Island.
Earn 600 additional CRS points
If you are able to obtain the provincial nomination by applying in Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program, you become eligible to receive the 600 extra CRS points in your express entry account, which consequently, raise your total CRS score of the applicant and makes certain that he/she get the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency in the very next draw of Federal Express entry system.
The Labour Impact Category of the PEIPNP has three key subcategories, i.e. Skilled Workers in PEI and Skilled worker outside Canada and International Graduates and Critical Workers. Based on teh PEIPNP stream you have chosen to apply, you may require having an eligible full-time, long-term job offer from an employer in PEI, along with meeting the other basic parameters of the stream.
