Ontario to Send Weekly Notifications to the Candidates Eligible for OINP- Express Entry HCP Stream

The Canadian province Ontario has announced that it will continue sending the Notifications of Interest (NOIs) to the candidates, found eligible for Express Entry- Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream of its popular Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP). The OINP is the largely popular provincial nomine program of Ontario province in Canada applied by huge number of Canada PR aspirants every year.

OINP- HCP Stream Notifications

The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) will now send weekly NOIs to the eligible applicants registered in the pool of federal express entry system. However, the applicants are advised to create new profile in federal EE system to make simpler for Ontario to search their profiles from express entry pool. Once you create new profile, do not forget to remove the old one.

Who is eligible to receive NOI from Ontario? The candidates with below qualities are eligible to receive the NOI (Notification of Interest) from Ontario:

  • Candidates who are registered in express entry pool of candidates
  • Candidates who have CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) points 400 or above
  • Candidates who meet the criteria of OINP- Express Entry- HCP stream

To ensure the best client service and process effectiveness, OINP will keep a check on the total number of applications received under this stream. As per OINP, this particular stream will be stopped and reopened periodically, right through the year, until the federal quota of allowed applications reaches its limit. The applicants will be informed accordingly as and when the stream is paused and opened again to accept applications.

OINP will not accept Credit Card Statements as Evidence of Residency

In another important announcement, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program has confirmed that it will not accept credit card statements provided as evidence of residency in Ontario under its International Masters Graduate Stream.

Hence, the candidates require submitting other documents along with teh applications as a proof that they reside in Ontario for total 12 months in last 24 months. These supporting documents can be:
  • House insurance, phone bills, car insurance, electricity or hydro bills
  • Lease or leasing documents showing residence
  • Pay stubs from an Ontario employer, (if any), etc.

However, all the documents provided as residence proof must include the full name and address of the applicant in Ontario province.
