Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) – a popular immigration program of Ontario province in Canada is going to reopen next week to receive applications for its three key streams. Here are the key streams of OINP, which will open next week:

  • Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream
  • International PhD Graduate Stream
  • International Masters Graduate Stream

All these major streams of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program are on a halt since May last year. All the three streams, i.e. International PhD Graduate, International Masters Graduate, and Human Capital Priorities streams will continue to pause and reopen periodically for better processing of the applications received under the given categories.

International Masters Graduate Stream

The candidates eligible under this stream will now be able to make application even if they are living outside Ontario, once this stream reopens. The candidates applying under this stream will now have the option to choose alternate service provider for the language test. The applicants eligible under the international student streams must have graduated from a publicly funded university in the province of Ontario with no employment offer requirement.

Express Entry Human Capital Priorities (HCP) Stream

The OINP will now be able to explore and select the suitable candidates from federal Express Entry pool to issue them the Notification of Interest (NOI). The opening of the Express entry- Human Capital Priorities Stream of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) will please several candidates registered in the federal express entry system.

They have every reasons to cheer about reopening of this key stream as the Express entry- HCP stream offer a manageable pathway to immigrate to Canada even with a  low CRS score. This is an improved stream and the applicants selected under this stream get the additional 600 CRS points, which makes them eligible to receive the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency in Canada from Immigration Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) in the forthcoming draw of express entry.

Eligibility requirement of HCP stream

Here are the key requirements of the Human Capital Priorities stream of OINP.
