New Express Entry Draw- Will IRCC break the barrier of 440 to Reduce Cut Off this time around?

The last Express entry draw launched on October 15, 2018, although invited significant number of candidates (i.e. 3,900), however, couldn't cross the barrier of 440 mark when it comes to CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) requirement for an EE draw.

Hence, it must have disappointed many applicants waiting eagerly for the qualifying marks to reduce below this mark. This year, it never came below 440 mark, which has been quite a surprise even for the experts considering the unprecedented fall in the cut off marks last year.

No Considerable reduction in Qualifying marks this year

This year, the highest CRS score requirement has been 451 points (14th March draw) and lowest has been 440 CRS points (In several EE draws of this year). Hence, the cut off marks has been hovering between these two figures throughout the year.

It is evident from the graph above that qualifying marks have never been reduced by big margin in any of the express entry draws in the year 2018 (FST draw not included). This has been the major disappointment for the express entry candidates with CRS score below 440 mark.

The results this year have been just opposite to what we witnessed last year, when CRS score requirement from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) went down to as low as 413 CRS points.

What's the prediction for upcoming express entry draw?

All eyes are on the forthcoming draw of federal express entry system. Not only the experts, but also the candidates are hoping the for some positive draw results in favour of the applicants. The fall in the qualifying marks is the expectation all around for the next EE draw of the year.

As we are heading towards the end of the year, the experts are expecting the IRCC to give some respite to the applicants with low CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System). Although, the fall is not expected to be huge, however, even the small reduction will be enough to allocate ITA (Invitation to Apply) to the thousands of applicants.
