New Express Entry Draw- How long the program-specific draws will last

The Express Entry candidates registered under Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category of Canada's express entry system still waiting for their first invitation round this year. All Express Entry draws opened this year until date were program-specific draws only for either Canadian Experience Class (CEC) or Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) category candidates. Hence, all eyes are now on IRCC as to when it will resume the FSW category draws.

When will IRCC start the all-program draws this year?

It is interesting to note that despite the global pandemic, at no point the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) stopped accepting the Express Entry registrations or Permanent Residence (PR) applications. Rather, this year the Express Entry System is on the verge of creating a new record as it has issued massive 81,713 invitations in less than six months.

Hence, irrespective of the category of EE draws, the good thing is, Canadian government continuing to invite the skilled worker candidates to apply for Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) visa.

What are the possibilities in the forthcoming EE draws?

Considering the record number of CEC and PNP category invitations in first six months of 2021, one gets a feeling that the Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) may surpass its annual Express Entry invitation target. If it happens, there is a good chance that the IRCC open the Federal Skilled Worker (FSW) category draws in the second half of the year.

Meanwhile, if you wants to keep hunting for the ITA (Invitation to Apply), instead of playing a waiting game, you must apply to an appropriate Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). At now, the IRCC is only inviting PNP and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. If you are able to get the provincial nomination, you have great chance of getting the ITA (Invitation to Apply) in next Express Entry draw.
