Nova Scotia Invites Registered Nurses in latest draw of Nova Scotia- Labour market Priorities Stream

The Nova Scotia Nomine Program (NSNP) has opened its 5th draw of the year 2019 to invite 430 candidates (registered nurses) from Express Entry pool of Candidates. The NSNP draw opened on October 28, 2019 for the Nova Scotia- Labour Market Priorities stream of Nova Scotia Nominee Program.

Latest NSNP draw on 28th October 2019

In the latest Nova Scotia PNP draw, Province of Nova Scotia has issued total 430 invitations to the express entry applicants with work experience as registered nurse or registered psychiatric. All invited candidates during this latest NSNP draw had their profile registered in Federal Express Entry System.

The Express Entry System is the federal online point based immigration system of Canada launched by IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) way back in January 2015.This federal system of Immigration, invites the applications from foreign skilled workers under three main categories i.e.

  • Federal Skilled Worker Class (FSW)
  • Federal Skilled Trades Class (FST)
  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Labour market Priorities Stream of NSNP

Since Labour Market Priorities Stream of NSNP is aligned with Express Entry system, therefore, it invites the Express Entry candidates (registered under one of the three above mentioned categories). Also, such candidates must have experience in those occupations which are in shortage in the province of Nova Scotia, Canada. This key NSNP stream invites the express entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residency.

As per the latest NSNP draw criteria, an applicant,
  • Require having a primary occupation of registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse (NOC 3012)
  • Needs to produce letters of reference from employers, as mentioned in the application guide, to show that they have three or more years of work experience as a registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse.
  • Must have a CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) score of 8 or higher in English or French in all four language abilities, i.e. must be visible in results from a language test approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. (provide approved test such as, IELTS for English proficiency)
  • Must be holding a bachelor's degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute.
  • Have submitted an expression of interest to the Express Entry pool on or after Nov. 1, 2018
