Nova Scotia Invites Express Entry candidates with Social & Community Service Experience

The latest Labour Market Priorities stream draw of Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) opened on December 5, 2019. In this new draw, Nova Scotia province of Canada issued invites to the targeted express entry candidates.

The draw targeted the Express entry pool candidates, who had the work experience as Social & Community Service Worker.

The draw of NSNP- Labour market Priorities Stream took place on 5th December this time around and invited the Express Entry candidates with work experience as social and community service workers (National Occupational Classification, NOC- 4212).Through, Labour market Priorities Stream, province of Nova Scotia, select the skilled and talented people from EE pool, who have work experience in specific occupations and subsequently, issue them invitations to apply for provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residency.

This was the 6th draw of this particular stream of Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) in the year 2019. The earlier draws this year focused on inviting the Express Entry applicants with work experience as nurses, carpenters, financial auditors and accountants, etc.

What was the criteria for the NSNP 5th December Draw?

Find below the criteria for the latest NSNP draw. As an applicant you,
  • Need to have a primary occupation of social and community service workers (NOC 4212)
  • Must provide letters of reference from employers, as mentioned in the application guide, to demonstrate that they have two or more years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience as a social worker or community service worker within the five years preceding the application.
  • Need to have a CLB (Canadian Language Benchmark) score of 7 or higher in English or French in all language abilities as demonstrated by providing results from a language test approved by IRCC
  • Must hold a bachelor's degree OR have completed a program of three or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or other institute.
  • Need to have submitted an expression of interest to the Express Entry pool on or after Dec. 6, 2018
  • Must apply no later than 11:59 p.m. Jan. 4, 2020.
