Latest Nova Scotia PNP draw- Nova Scotia invites Express Entry Candidates

abc Nova Scotia province of Canada has opened the latest draw of Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) on September 24, 2020. The NSNP has invited express entry candidates this time around under its Express Entry- Labour Market Priorities Stream.

The NSNP- Labour Market Priorities stream selects applicants in the federal Express Entry system who fulfill the provincial labour market requirements to apply for nomination. Only applicants, who get a LOI (Letter of Interest) from the Nova Scotia Office of Immigration can apply. Let's find out more about this latest draw

NSNP draw on 24th September

Find below the eligibility criteria applicable in the latest NSNP draw occurred on 24th September 2020. As an applicant, you need to,

  • Have a primary occupation of motor vehicle body repairers (NOC 7322) or automotive service technicians, truck and bus mechanics and mechanical repairers (NOC 7321)
  • Provide letters of reference from employers to show that you have 2 or more years of full-time or equivalent part-time experience in NOC 7322 or NOC 7321 within the five years prior to the application.
  • Have a CLB score of 5 or higher in English in all language abilities as shown by providing results from a language test approved by IRCC. *
  • Have completed a program of 2 or more years at a university, college, trade or technical school, or another institute. *
  • Apply no later than 11:59 p.m. Oct. 24, 2020.
*Include the copies of language test result and Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from an approved assessing authority.

Nova Scotia has targeted the Motor Repairers and Mechanics (i.e. NOC 7322 or NOC 7321) in the latest NSNP draw occured on 24th September, however, the province did not release any details regarding the invitations issued in this Draw.

Nova Scotia is one of the key Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) in Canada that offer relatively easy pathway for Canadian permanent residency. This year, NSNP hasn't been active for quite some time, however, it is likely to be a key PNP to apply for Canada PR in second half of the year.
