The long wait of the applicants is finally over, as the IRCC finally launched the first express entry draw of February 2019. It the fourth draw of this year launched by Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) on February 20, 2019. This draw is launched after 20 days, which was a bit late, bearing in mind the for tightly cycle of the Express entry draws.
Find below the detailed statistics of the latest EE draw by IRCC.
The candidates receiving the ITA in the present draw, need to submit the application and documents within 60 days from the invitation date.
The IRCC increased the CRS score requirement in the latest EE draw by 19 points to make it 457 points required to win Invitation to Apply (ITA). Total 3,350 candidates had their CRS score matching or exceeding the said cut off marks, who will not get the ITA from the IRCC. Such significant rise in the cut off is result of the late EE Draw, as more number of people must have registered in the system during this period. Moreover, the number of invitations are also fixed on 3,350 mark as a new trend from the government it seems.
The increase in the qualifying marks may bother the applicants, however, it is likely that the Canadian government will drop the cut off yet again in the coming EE draws of the year. The Express entry has the target of 81,400 for this year and still we have thousands of invitations left in the year, so, it is quite possible the IRCC reduce the cut off in the next few draws.
In case you have not received the Invitation to Apply (ITA) for Canadian permanent residency in last few EE draws, you must explore the other options or ways to get the same. For instance, if you apply in Provincial nominee programs and get the nomination, it may increase your CRS score by 600 points. Needless to say that it will confirm the ITA from IRCC in the very next draw of the EE system. All you need to do is apply in the most relevant PNP based on your profile, in coordination with a top and trusted Canadian immigration consultant.
