IRCC Reduces the CRS score requirement in Latest Express Entry draw opened on March 6, 2019

Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has launched the 5th Express entry draw of the year on March 06, 2019. The draw has invited 3,350 candidates 3rd time in a row. There are two positives, which can be seen in the draw for the applicants. Firstly, it was on time and there was no delay in the opening of the draw. Moreover, the IRCC has marginally decreased the CRS Score requirement in the current EE draw.

Express Entry Draw opened on March 6, 2019

Find below the results of the latest draw of Federal EE system.
  • The draw is open: The current express entry draw is open from March 6, 2019 to March 7, 2019.
  • CRS score requirement: The CRS score requirement or qualifying marks in the draw is 454 CRS points or above
  • Number of Invitations to be issued: The IRCC to issue a total of 3,350 Canada PR invitations during the draw.
  • Tie-breaking rule:February 11, 2019 at 17:21:27 UTC
The 3,350 express entry applicants, who are receiving the Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the present EE draw, need to submit complete Canadian permanent residency application along with the required documents within 60 days of the receipt of the draw.

Analysis of 5th EE Draw of 2019

This was the 5th Express entry draw of 2019 and with this draw the total invite issued by IRCC this year to the applicants have reached to staggering mark of 17,850. It the third time IRCC has invited 3,350 candidates to apply for permanent residency in Canada within 60 days.

The applicants got some respite as the CRS score requirement has dropped slightly in the current draw, though the reduction was of only 3 points making cut off marks in the draw to 454 CRS points.

This year, the lowest qualifying marks were announced by IRCC in the 30th January draw, whereas the highest of the year stand the CRS score requirement in the last EE draw opened on February 20, 2019
