Current EE Draw Analysis
A drop of 9 point was observed in the qualifying marks or CRS Score requirement from IRCC, which indeed was a pleasant surprise for the applicants.
It's the second time this year, qualifying marks reduced by 9 points or more since 6thEE draw this year. The number of invitation was another surprising factor for the applicants. The IRCC issued record 3,750 invitations 2nd time consecutively this year. This is the highest number of invites issued in a single draw this year by IRCC. Although, this year IRCC has invited a total of 39,700 candidates, however, it is still way behind of its immigration target for this year.
High immigration target for this year
Canada plans to welcome 74, 900 people via express entry this year and the number will further increase next year, i.e. 2018. So, if you are planning to immigrate to Canada this year from any part of the world, this is the best time to go for the same.
In case your CRS Score is low, you still have the option of applying in the Canadian Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) to get provincial nomination and apply Canadian permanent residency based on the same. Canada is probably the best country for immigrants at the moment. So, if you have plans to apply permanent residency abroad, this is the high time to plan immigration to Canada.
