The province of Ontario, Canada has received the additional quota of provincial nominations for the year 2019, from federal government of Canada. With this rise in the total nomination allocations for the year, the OINP (Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program) has also issued the 667 invitations to Express Entry Candidates under its Skilled Trades Stream.
The IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has issued 700 additional nominations to the province of Ontario for the year 2019 to raise its total nominations for the year 2019 to the mark of 7,350.With this latest nomination addition, the Ontario PNP has also issued latest invitations to the Express Entry candidates under the Skilled Trades stream.
The total invitations issued under Skilled Trades Stream this time around are 667 NOIs (Notifications of Interest). As per the provincial government, it already achieved the annual nomination allocation of 6,650, hence, this additional allocation has helped the cause of the Ontario to nominate additional number of people for permanent residency in Ontario, Canada.
Out of the 3 OINP streams, the HCP (Human Capital Priorities) Stream has been the most active stream in 2019, which has issued nearly 7,000 Notifications of interest in total 5 draws this year.
Express Entry applicants, who get a provincial nomination, become eligible to obtain, 600 extra CRS points, which drastically enhance their overall Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score enabling him to receive the invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada).
In 11th December draw, Express Entry applicants with CRS point scores as low as 410 points got the invitation. On the contrary, the Express Entry draw occurred same day had cut off or minimum score requirement of 472 CRS points.
The provincial government also announced that applications for another 250 dedicated nomination places for temporary foreign workers (with work experience rated skill level 'C' under Canada's NOC (National Occupational Classification) will continue to be processed under the In-Demand Skills Stream of Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program.
These nominations are part of a federal government step announced earlier this year that created 2,000 additional PNP spaces this year so that the long-term, intermediate-skilled temporary overseas workers, can transition to permanent residency status.
