IRCC Invites Candidates with Provincial Nomination in the latest Express Entry Draw
The IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada), opened yet another express entry draw within a week of the previous draw. The latest draw of the EE system took place on April 15, 2020 to invite the candidates with provincial nomination this time around. Last week only the IRCC held two draw for both CEC and provincial nomination candidates.

EE draw Opened on 15th April for PNP Candidates
Find below the results of the latest draw of Federal EE system, opened for candidates with provincial nomination:
- The draw is open: The current express entry draw is open from April 15, 2020 to April 16, 2020.
- CRS score requirement: The CRS score requirement or qualifying marks in the draw is 808 CRS points or above
- Number of Invitations to be issued: The IRCC to issue a total of 118 Canada PR invitations during the draw.
- Tie-breaking rule:March 18, 2020 at 10:30:55 UTC
All invited candidates in this draw will have to submit their Canada PR application along with essential documents to IRCC within the specified period.
Analysis of the latest EE draw for PNP nominees
This draw was dedicated for the provincial nomination candidates. The PNP nominees are those candidates in Express Entry pool, which have got the nomination from any Canadian province, and hence, received 600 additional CRS points based on the provincial nomination. This is why the CRS score requirement in this draw is higher, i.e. 808 points and number of invites are relatively low (i.e. 118 invitations) compared to the regular draws.
Now, Canada has
invited total 26,618 candidates in 10 Express Entry draws occurred this year. Looking at the consistency of EE draws despite Covid-19 disruption, Express Entry system is likely to achieve its annual immigration target of inviting 91,800 candidates in 2020.
