July Express entry Draw- Should the applicants stay positive about drop in cut off?

By Rajneesh Kumar Posted 04, Jul 2019

visas default image We are in to 7th month of the year now, however, a bit high cut off in last few Express entry draws is making the express entry applicants at unrest. Although minor drop in the CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) Score requirement from IRCC (Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada) has given some hope to the applicants about further decrease in the cut off, however, predicating anything at this stage is not in the jurisdiction of even the applicants or the experts.

Express Entry draw trend this year

Express Entry Cut Off marks chart 2019

The lowest CRS score requirement this year has been 438 points (30th January draw), while the highest was 470 in the draw launched on 29th May 2019. Hence, the nature of EE draw results, especially, cut off score has been quite volatile right from the beginning till now.

On the contrary, the number of invitations have been quiet stable at one particular mark all through the year, i.e. 3,350. It has been the same in almost every EE draw launched by IRCC this year up till the latest Express entry draw held on June 26, 2019.This is the reason that IRCC invited massive number of Express Entry applicants to apply for Canadian PR this year, up till now. This year Canadian government has invited 41,800 express entry candidates to apply for Canadian PR visa till 26th June draw, which is an incredible number of applicants invited through an immigration program.

What is the expectation from upcoming express entry draw?

As per the express entry pool status on 21st June 2019, nearly 6,000 candidates in the express entry pool had the CRS score between 451 and 600. Now, after the invitations issued to 3,350 candidates on 26th June draw, still there will be still more than 3,000 candidates with CRS score 451-600. Hence, one thing is sure that there is not drastic fall one should expect in the upcoming few EE draws. Even if the CRS score requirement or cut off drops in next couple of draws, the fall won't be much.
